I really put time into track selection because I wanted to shy away from the radio hits and get right down to the nature of the music itself and it’s purpose. Beef.

I think Biggie said it best himself “me and pac created a coastal beef, something between two men took over an entire nation”

These two men are totally different in terms of lyricism and lifestyle so i’m not really comparing or rating who is better or worse. I’m just trying to capture a moment in hip hop history, something that has all come from one place… the music itself.
